THE HISTORY BEHIND  LILY IN THE VALLEY

The term Lily of the valley is found in the bible.

In Chapter 2 v 1 of the book of Songs of Solomon, Jesus is described as the Lily Of the Valley (LOV), However the vision of this ministry is purposely called LILY IN the Valley, acronym LIV = (LIVE).

Lily’s typically were bulbous white looking flowers, they grew wild on mountainsides and in Valley’s. Metaphorically speaking, mountains describe the ‘ups’ in life while Valley’s metaphorically describe the ‘downs’ in life. Thus the purpose of the vision for this ministry is to meet the needs of people who find themselves stuck in the downs of life’s valley.

Lily makes no secret about the fact that it’s a service based on Godly, Christian principles; in fact, it’s the aspiration of the visionary that any service user of LIV, ends up at a place where they LOV. In other words, once they have accessed Lily in the Valley, they will experience an encounter with the Lily of the Valley – Jesus Christ. However LIV, is not JUST a service for Christians; it’s a service for HUMANS, anyone struggling on the downside of LIFE.

The message of Lily in the Valley is: HOPE, HEALING and RESTORATION. The ministry is set up to ensure that the LOV - Jesus Christ - is expressed and shown as the Lily of the Valley in the midst of that dark place and how, with HIS help, one can pass through this dark place of life without getting stuck. The circumstances of life that was meant to overwhelm and seemingly swallow you up, will become an experience that will usher you on to greater things.
